Karen Chabak is a renowned Pennsylvania physical therapist from Arcadia University with over 30 years of experience. Karen has gained expertise in outpatient orthopedics, home health, acute care, vestibular issues, and concussion care.

Her patient-centered approach to physical therapy concentrates on customizing care to enhance patient recovery and experience.

Outside physical therapy, Karen is a busy wife and mother to two boys. She enjoys reading, watching sports, and walking her dog.

I went to Maximum Solutions when I needed physical therapy for different issues on two separate occasions now with great results. Cara, who is an expert in her field, pinpointed my problem upon each of my initial visits and explained what was going on and the proposed therapy going forward. Not only did Cara and her team provide exceptional treatment while I was there, but they also gave me a home exercise program which I still follow today plus useful tips on how to do those common day to day activities safely. (I’m always reminding myself of the importance to be “mindful”.) Cara and her team are professionals and I knew they genuinely cared about my progress. After doing some research for injuries to my ankle and knee, I decided to go to Maximum Solutions for PT and it was the best decision I could make for my health. The team there is super friendly and professional. From walking in and having Latrice at reception always greet me with a huge smile and remembering me by name, to Matthew who always had a friendly welcome and good direction in assisting with my exercises. I’ve been using this facility for many years. They go out of their way to meet their patient’s needs. They are like a second family. They retain their therapists which is beneficial to returning patients with chronic conditions. They are very hands on and in my opinion give more one on one attention than some of the other facilities in the area. All the therapists are great. Tim is particularly good at manual manipulation.This facility also participates in student internships with ESU. I think it’s great that they help the community in this manner to get more specialized healthcare workers in the field. It’s appreciated and needed!

I went to Maximum Solutions after a leg injury. I found them through google and tried them after reading all the excellent reviews. The entire staff is extremely nice and wonderful people. I was evaluated by Cara and worked with her most of the time I was in therapy, and had a few days with other therapists as well. All of them were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout my entire rehab process. Cara addressed any concerns or questions I had throughout. I had some arthritis removed from my shoulder and went for Physical Therapy at a Hospital affiliated PT office. After 2X a week for 2 months I was still stiff without good range of motion. My doctor recommended I switch to Maximum Solutions. I started out 3X a week then 2X a week. I have nearly all my range of motion back. They are more hands on and manipulate and stretch you I cannot believe the difference just 6 weeks of Therapy gave me. I highly recommend them! From the first phone call and through whatever needed to be done with insurance, scheduling, and payments, Latrice was on it with a warm, helpful tone, a friendly, efficient manner, and a smile. Cara provided the most thorough intake I have ever had at a PT office, and my treatment plan was laid out with firm attention to strengthening my knee function without escalating the pain. And, it was successful! After the eleven insurance approved visits, there is measurable improvement in all I do, as knee mobility and minimal pain is tremendously useful for much in day to day activities. Jill and Tim, the ones who directly worked with me each week, I thank you for the excellent job you did and do. Your warm, friendly, knowledgeable, upbeat manner are true gifts. Now at the end of this run of in-office PT, I have a detailed at-home program from Tim to hopefully maintain and continue to improve my knee function. I went to Cara for pelvic floor therapy and she was a godsend! It is obviously a more vulnerable type of therapy but she and the rest of the staff made me feel so comfortable. It was never awkward and the best of all she helped me so much! Basically all of my problems went away from seeing her cause she not only gave me exercises to do while there but she helped me establish a foundation to continue off of that has help me maintain my progress. They don’t just fix you for the couple months you go there they fix you for life. Also shout out to the amazing Lisa! She is the one who normally answers phones and works the front desk. She is the nicest and funniest person i’ve ever met in a medical field. She kept a warm environment and I was able to make a close connection with her so much that if I saw her out and about we would stop and chat! I love this place! i need to get more physical therapy for a separate issue and plan on going back to them

Prior to going to Maximum Solutions I had a very bad experience with physical therapy. From the beginning, I shared my concerns with the Therapist and she was very understanding. She told me step-by-step what was going to happen and and what my role would be.I am so thankful that I chose this facility! I worked with all of the therapists but never felt like there was a disconnect in my program. I felt like all of the therapists were looking out for me and definitely had my best interest and my recovery in mind. They are very professional and friendly. I have to say that I actually enjoyed my experience and would not have second thoughts about going there again. I came to Maximum Solutions in April because I couldn’t move my arm very well in different directions which it was very painful and I was diagnosed with Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder). All the physical therapists worked with me and were very encouraging. I slowly progressed with my stretches and strengthening exercises which made my mobility get better. I’m not at 100% yet, but I’m able to do my normal activities again and be able to reach behind my back without too much difficulty. I will continue to do my physical therapy at home. I can also sleep without a lot of pain which was an issue for a long time. All the ladies (physical therapists) were wonderful and very patient. They listened to any questions and concerns that I had and gave me advice of what I should do. I would highly recommend Maximum Solutions (East Stroudsburg) to anyone that needs to get physical therapy. I absolutely loved the staff which they are very friendly and knowledgeable including the front office to the physical therapists. They sanitize after each client and the facility was very clean.

I loved maximum solutions. Everybody there was so helpful and they actually care about YOU. You don't get that at every PT. I suffered 2 herniated discs and they were right beside me the whole way. I had to stop going cause my doctor stopped prescribing physical therapy. But I loved my time there. Hopefully soon when I make a full recovery I'll go back and visit. If I could give Maximum Solutions physical therapy six stars I would.In 2020, I had total knee replacement and used a local hospital system based physical therapy. They were competent and clinical.A few months ago I saw a Facebook ad for Maximum Solutions PT, they were providing a free workshop for shoulder pain. Am I glad I decided to register and attend! The workshop was run by one of the owners and everyone there left understanding where their pain originated from. I chose to take advantage of the free personal 15 minute evaluation and began PT the following week. Besides making significant progress with my shoulder pain, when I mentioned to the PT that my knee replacement was bothering me, she immediately recommended some exercises that helped immensely.That’s when I knew I would be going back after my second knee was done. And what a difference than my first experience with the hospital based rehab! I have made more progress in my first week at Maximum Solutions than I made in an entire month of visits to the hospital-based rehab. If you want personalized care and encouragement, you have to go to Maximum Solutions PT.

This is not my first experience at Maximum Solution Phisical Therapy. I was there last year in July after months of pain in my shoulder and nothing seen help me. I left the PT place in September and I haven't pain at all. I came back on May this year bc I had very sharp back pain and I wasn't able to get up after I sat. The pain was so intense that I can't do the simple things like put my socks or just put cream in my legs after shower. Just after two weeks of exercises I was pain free. It was amazing. I was able to do everything like I never had pain before. I kept coming two days a week to learn how keep myexercisess at home. The staff is very friendly and professional. They work as a team and adjust the exercise when it needed. I don't want to name one of them bc all are so kind and they really care about the people who are suffering. Before I came to Maximum Solution Physical Therapy, I had a lot of pain in the back of my neck and shoulders. The pain in my neck was one of the most irritating and annoying forms of pain anyone could experience. It started to affect my ability to move naturally and at times easily spread to other parts of my body, such as the shoulders and back. I have had the pleasure twice so far, of having Maximum Solutions repair me. Both times were hip related, the first time was to strengthen and prepare for an upcoming hip replacement, in which they were exceptional in helping me. Several months later, I had my left hip replaced, and 1 week later, I was back to them and once again, they were absolutely fantastic! The staff is very friendly and empathetic. I was educated about my condition and given helpful advice about how to take better care of myself to avoid a recurrence. I enjoyed the rustic atmosphere of the locale as well!

I went for physical therapy for a hip issue. All the staff were professional, caring and eager to see me progress to normal range of function. It is like family when you arrive for your session.....they interact personally and you are very comfortable. I saw results in a short time and would highly recommend if you are experiencing something that limits your activities or causes discomfort. They have magic hands!!!

When I first came to Maximum Solutions I barely could walk with a walker. My posture was bent over and my back pain after surgery hindered daily activity, cooking and required help putting on socks and shoes.Today I am walking without the walker and still use a cane on occasion during cold snowy weather. I have learned exercises and techniques to maintain this recovery.I thank all the associates as each has helped from keeping me on track with appointments and meeting the best healers and students who kept me motivated.
